Youth Age Divisions

Age categories are determined by how old the child will be within the calendar year (i.e. a child born in Jan 2015 or Dec 2015 would be considered the same age).

Each age group is kept separate, there will not be “combined” age groups. 

• The exception is 17/18 are often combined due to low registration numbers.
• Other age groups may be combined for indoor soccer if registration numbers are low. The 15/16 age group has often been combined, especially for girls soccer.

Each age group is separated by gender, so there are girls’ teams and boys’ teams; there are no co-ed teams.

For Outdoor Soccer 2025:

• Games start May 5th, teams may have practices prior to this date.
• Coaches will contact teams typically around mid April
• Teams will receive 14 matches with schedule released on April 18th
• The league utilizes RAMP to push out the schedules to all teams/players
• U9-U12 will finish their season with a league wide Jamboree on June 28th and 29th
• U13-U18 will end their regular season on June 27th with playoffs from July 7th - 18th. Championship finals are the weekend of July 19th, 2025.

For Indoor Soccer 2024-25:

• All teams should expect to receive 18 total matches if the season runs without interruption
• U13 to U18 teams will compete for the League and WYSA Challenge Cup titles
• Days of play are Thursdays (Typically older boys and girls divisions), Saturdays (typically girls divisions), Sundays (typically boys divisions).
• Mathes will take place at the WSF North facility (770 Leila Avenue), WSF South facility (211 Chancellor Matheson Road), the University of Winnipeg Recplex (400 Spence Street) and the Seven Oaks Soccer Plex (725 Kingsbury Ave)

The schedule for the 2025 Outdoor season GAMES. Practices may be held on different days. Age groups will be the same for the 2025-26 Indoor Soccer Season.

 DUE TO MANY COMPETING FACTORS THESE DAYS OF PLAY MAY BE ALTERED BY THE LEAGUE SCHEDULER.
