Youth Age Divisions

Age categories are determined by how old the child will be within the calendar year (i.e. a child born in Jan 2016 or Dec 2016 would be considered the same age).

Each age group is kept separate, there will not be “combined” age groups. 

• The exception is 17/18 are often combined due to low registration numbers.
• Other age groups may be combined for indoor soccer if registration numbers are low. The 15/16 age group has often been combined, especially for girls soccer.

Each age group is separated by gender, so there are girls’ teams and boys’ teams; there are no co-ed teams.

Based on registration numbers, team sizes and availability of coaches, players may be transferred to neighboring clubs such as Whyte Ridge and Lindenwoods.

For Outdoor Soccer 2026

U8-U10 Grassroots Programming:

• Games start May 4th, teams may have practices prior to this date.
• Players will receive a teamlinkt invite to their team typically around middle of April
• Teams will receive 8 matches 
• The league utilizes RAMP to push out the schedules to all teams/players
• Season will finish their season with a league wide Jamboree on June 27th and 28th

U11-U18 Recreational League:

• Games start May 4th, teams may have practices prior to this date.
• Players will receive a teamlinkt invite to their team typically around middle of April
• U11-U12 will receive 14 matches and U13-U18 will receive 18 matches
• The league utilizes RAMP to push out the schedules to all teams/players
• U8-U12 will finish their season with a league wide Jamboree on June 27th and 28th
• U13-U18 will end their regular season on June 26th with playoffs from July 6th - 17th. Championship finals are Sunday July 19th, 2026.

For Indoor Soccer 2025-26:

• All teams should expect to receive 18 total matches if the season runs without interruption
• U13 to U18 teams will compete for the League and WYSA Challenge Cup titles
• Days of play are Thursdays (Typically older boys and girls divisions), Saturdays (typically girls divisions, some games for U9-U12 boys), Sundays (typically boys divisions).
• Matches will take place at the WSF North facility (770 Leila Avenue), WSF South facility (211 Chancellor Matheson Road), the University of Winnipeg Recplex (400 Spence Street) and the Seven Oaks Soccer Plex (725 Kingsbury Ave)

The schedule for the 2026 Outdoor season GAMES. Practices may be held on different days. Age groups will be the same for the 2025-26 Indoor Soccer Season.

 DUE TO MANY COMPETING FACTORS THESE DAYS OF PLAY MAY BE ALTERED BY THE LEAGUE SCHEDULER.
