Subsidy

Subsidy Process

  1. Subsidy applications must be completed prior to registering for soccer.
  2. If applying for subsidy through programs such as Jumpstart and Kidsport, send a copy of either your subsidy application or confirmation that your subsidy has been approved to the SWCC soccer registrar (swccsoccerregistrar@gmail.com).
    1. After receiving proof of subsidy application, the SWCC soccer registrar will provide you with a code to use during registration that will allow you to register online at a discounted rate.
  3. If applying for subsidy through the community center, visit the Fort Richmond Community Center (666 Silverstone) between 9am and 5pm on Mon-Friday. You will need the following two pieces of info:
    1. Notice of Assessment (if you don’t have this you can bring landing papers)
    2. Photo ID
  4. After applying for subsidy, the Community Center manager will provide you with a code to use during registration that will allow you to register online at a discounted rate.
  5. A player who uses a discount code without applying for subsidy through the Community Center or providing proof of subsidy application to the SWCC soccer registrar will have their registration cancelled.
  6. Players will be responsible for paying the soccer fees to SWCC if their subsidy application is not approved.
  7. Two weeks prior to season start subsidy applications and subsidy soccer registrations will no longer be accepted.

Financial Requirements:

To be eligible for funding for one or more children, families must first meet specific financial criteria as per Revenue Canada’s Low-Income Cut-Offs (LICO) chart.

Players will be required to pay the MSA fee during registration ($16 for Mini Soccer and $50 for Youth Soccer). If the subsidy amount covers this fee, players can request a refund from the CC once the CC receives the subsidy.
